Frequently Asked Questions (in progress)

How long will a solar panel last?

Modern panels are designed to last an extremely long time!  Their projected useful life is usually 30 years.  What this means is that over time, the sun slowly degrades the panel and it will produce less electricity than it would when it was new.  At the end of 30 years, it should still be making at least 80% of the electricity that it was when it was brand new.  Most panels are warranteed as such.

How long does a system take to pay for itself?

As system prices have gotten cheaper and electricty prices continue to skyrocket, system payoff points have decreased dramatically.  A turnkey system can pay for itself in as little as 4-5 years with our company.  If you decide to put some sweat equity in, that number can decrease even further!

My HOA is being a pain!

On June 14, 2022, the Ohio Legislature passed, and Gov. Mike Dewine signed into law Senate Bill 61 (SB 61).  This limits an HOA's ability to deny solar unless its specifically built into the bylaws.  Let us help with communication with your HOA to navigate a path for solar in your community.

Buy!  Don't Lease!!

We know you've seen all the ads that claim that you can get "no cost solar" or "no money down."  If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.  There's lots of companies out there who want to sell you something that sounds amazing or even "Free" but the devil's in the fine print.  Be very careful and read everything twice!
